CCC WHO ARE WE:
Central Christian Church is a small church striving to know and love Jesus and to share Him with the community with a focus on being more like Him. We are an independent Christian church of the Restoration Movement. We believe in a Biblical leadership by the elders. We are a community of mostly elderly people while having some younger families also.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- We are looking for a Kingdom–minded Pastor with vision to lead our church working together with the elders, leaders and the congregation towards growing both physically and spiritually.
- The ideal candidate will relate well with multiple generations of people with an emphasis on young people.
- This man will have a spiritual maturity which reflects Jesus both in his private and public life.
- The candidate should be capable of delivering a Biblical message, inspiring the congregation and edifying us in all Biblical teachings.
- Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, pulpit ministry, overseeing staff, being involved in budget oversight, leading the church, visiting the congregation and shut-ins regularly, teaching, and working with eldership, including making recommendations to the church body and eldership.
- Candidate would keep office time schedule acceptable to elders, make hospital calls, perform weddings at their discretion, and perform funerals when asked by members.
- Candidate should also be available for emergencies and weekends if needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Born again, baptized believer, who loves the Lord and is concerned for the lost.
- He fulfills the Scriptural qualifications of a leader as attested to in 1Tim 3 and Titus; His household should be in order and he should exemplify leadership qualities.
- Willingness to work within the community where available and be a representative of the church to the community.
- Should possess the ability to disciple, teach and shepherd the members of CCC, along with the ability to inspire members with Biblical messages.
- Is accountable to the eldership of CCC.
- Ministry degree from an accredited ministry institution preferred but not required. Five years of preaching experience helpful but not required.
- Support and lead operational planning along with the leadership.

COMPENSATION:
Compensation will be commensurate with experience and growth of the church. Possibility of health insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and retirement depending on salary.
THE PROCESS:
After receiving the applications, the elders will review them, and choose from them a candidate for presentation to the church. The candidate will be asked to bring a trial sermon for an agreed upon time. According to our bylaws, once the eldership approves a candidate, they will be presented to the congregation for a trial sermon followed by a vote. We would like to have 90% approval to accept the candidate as our new minister.
